Official: Lucas Moura will leave Tottenham Hotspur this summer
Since arriving from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) in January 2018, Lucas Moura has had a lot of memorable moments in a Tottenham Hotspur shirt.
None of them would, however, compare to his hat-trick against Ajax Amsterdam in the UEFA Champions League semifinals during the 2018-19 season. It is these moments we must now remember as his exit has been confirmed.
Not the ones where he has been sidelined with injuries or gone through rough patches, but ones where he gave Tottenham fans something to cheer about. We can’t blame him as well.
Neither can we blame the club. It seems that the 30-year-old’s race is run at Tottenham, with Antonio Conte’s signings Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison above him in the pecking order.
Farewell, Lucas
The club’s official website has confirmed that the former PSG star will leave this summer on a free transfer. There shouldn’t be a shortage of teams lining up to take an experienced star like him for nothing in transfer fees.
Lucas is great in close spaces and has the ability to create and finish chances himself. He is no longer the speed demon he was during his heyday but he is still quick enough to leave most defenders in the dust.
This departure isn’t anything that will affect us majorly. We already have a set forward line that the Brazilian was clearly struggling to get into. Byran Gil will also return from loan this summer.

Spurs fans will wish nothing but the best for Lucas Moura. Hopefully, he finds success wherever he goes. It is unlucky that he didn’t enjoy greater success here because he had the quality to become something special.
