Brighton & Hove Albion youngster Evan Ferguson ‘earmarked’ as future Tottenham Hotspur target
Tottenham Hotspur have ‘earmarked’ Brighton & Hove Albion youngster Evan Ferguson as a future target to bolster the front line, according to Sky Sports.
Spurs are already laying the groundwork to acquire the Ireland international’s services in the summer of 2024. He has been identified as a strong candidate to lead the North London side’s attack in the coming future.
The 18-year-old has caught Tottenham’s attention with some impressive displays in the last few months. Spurs’ plan to replace Harry Kane in the team involves the Seagulls striker.
Ferguson recently signed a new contract at the Amex Stadium side that will keep him tied down until June 2028. The Irish national is tipped to be worth £100 million if the youngster continues the trajectory he is on.
Apart from the North London side, Manchester United also have the 18-year-old on their radar. Manchester City also have the striker’s name on their list should Erling Haaland depart.
Ferguson has made a name for himself at Brighton in the current campaign with some powerful performances. The 18-year-old also announced himself on the international stage recently after scoring against Latvia in Ireland’s recent friendly.
Tottenham have an abundance of talent up front as things stand. Unfortunately, Kane is the only one who has lived up to expectations this season. The England international has carried our attack over the years.
We signed Richarlison from Everton last summer. But the Brazilian is yet to hit the ground running at the North London side. Spurs also have the likes of Son Heung-min, Dejan Kulusevski and Arnut Danjuma in their ranks.
