Tottenham Hotspur target Evan Ndicka could stay at Eintracht Frankfurt

Markus Krosche, the sporting director of Eintracht Frankfurt, has revealed that Tottenham Hotspur target Evan Ndicka could extend his stay in Germany.

The French national’s current contract with Die Adler is set to expire at the end of the season. However, the 23-year-old is thinking about putting pen to paper on a new three-year deal at the Bundesliga outfit.

As per the Mirror, Spurs and Premier League rivals Arsenal have the defender on their radar. But speaking on Sky TV via BILD, Krosche disclosed the centre-back’s willingness to stay at Frankfurt.

“Evan can basically imagine staying with us longer. Evan knows what he has in us, he feels comfortable with us and has developed well in Frankfurt.”

Ndicka made his way to the German side in the summer of 2018. Subsequently, the French national established himself in the Bundesliga outfit’s starting lineup immediately.

In the previous campaign, the 23-year-old found major success at Die Adler. Oliver Glasner’s team went all the way in the Europa League and lifted the prestigious trophy.

In the current campaign, the defender has once again been pivotal at the Deutsche Bank Park. He has made 42 appearances in all competitions for them, scoring two goals and providing one assist.

Tottenham’s defence has looked shaky all through the season. Cristian Romero has surprisingly been inconsistent. The Argentine is arguably the best defender in our ranks at the moment.

On the other hand, the likes of Eric Dier, Ben Davies, Clement Lenglet and Davinson Sanchez have also had moments to forget in the current campaign. None of our three managers this term so far have been able to fix the issues with our defence.

Spurs have struggled to keep clean sheets over the last few months. Thus we evidently need solutions for our backline. However, it looks like Ndicka will not be moving to the North London side anytime soon if he signs a new contract.
