Alasdair Gold says Harry Kane will be happy if Ryan Mason is given the Tottenham job
Speaking on his YouTube channel, Football journalist Alasdair Gold says Harry Kane would be happy if Ryan Mason is given the Tottenham Hotspur job in the summer.
Despite less-than-stellar results during Mason’s second stint as interim coach, the 31-year-old took over at an incredibly tumultuous time and has delivered on his promise of a more attacking approach. However, it seems Mason is unlikely to be considered for the full-time role.
Postecoglou has emerged as the top target for Spurs, with plans to approach him after Celtic’s Scottish Cup final, Gold highlights Mason’s positive impact on the Tottenham players during his short tenure.
Gold further expressed his belief that Ryan Mason possesses the potential to become a highly successful young coach. It would be unfair to judge Mason based solely on the handful of matches he has managed.
Additionally, he assumed control of the team when morale was at a low point, with the team no longer competing for major honours. These circumstances have undoubtedly hampered his ability to demonstrate his true coaching prowess.
Speaking about the situation, here is what Gold had to say about Ryan Mason as a potential Tottenham coach
“I have been told that there are a lot of players that would play for Ryan Mason. They would be very happy if he was manager. I am sure Harry Kane is one of them as well. I do think people really underestimate how he is going to become a young top coach”
Despite Mason’s potential, Tottenham finds themselves at a crucial juncture and cannot afford to take a gamble on an inexperienced manager. The club requires stability and a proven leader who can navigate the challenging path ahead.
As Tottenham contemplates its next move, the importance of a seasoned and accomplished coach cannot be understated. The club needs someone who can reestablish its identity, revitalize the squad, and guide them back to competing for top honours.
