Napoli are in talks with Tottenham managerial target Julian Nagelsmann
According to TuttoMercatoWeb journalist Marco Conterio, discussions are underway between Napoli owner Aurelio De Laurentiis and the highly sought-after Julian Nagelsmann who is also on Tottenham’s radar.
This latest development comes on the heels of Tottenham’s failed attempt to secure Arne Slot as their new manager. The club’s search has taken them in various directions, with names like Ange Postecoglou, Luis Enrique, and Ruben Amorim featuring prominently on their shortlist.
However, it now seems that Nagelsmann has once again emerged as a potential candidate, with Tottenham considering resuming talks with him after calling them off a couple of weeks ago.

Interestingly, claims from The Daily Mail suggest that Julian Nagelsmann himself is unsure of Tottenham’s interest in him. He is said to have received no communication from the club’s hierarchy following their initial contacts.
This lack of clarity could potentially pave the way for Napoli to swoop in and secure his services instead. It appears that Tottenham may have inadvertently given Napoli the upper hand in the pursuit of Nagelsmann.
While Napoli can boast the status of being Serie A champions, one could argue that the allure of managing a Premier League club like Tottenham would be far greater for top managers.
The English top flight is widely regarded as one of the most competitive leagues in the world, offering a unique blend of passion, intensity, and global exposure. The prospect of pitting their wits against the likes of Pep Guardiola, Jurgen Klopp, and Thomas Tuchel on a regular basis could be an irresistible challenge for ambitious coaches.
Of course, the decision ultimately rests in Nagelsmann’s hands. He will have to weigh up the pros and cons of each opportunity and consider the project, resources, and long-term potential of both clubs.

Nagelsmann might not want to come to Tottenham after how much they have been going front and back on his appointment. However, he’d be a great option.
