Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo on Tottenham Hotspur radar
Tottenham Hotspur have Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo on their radar as an option in the ongoing transfer window, according to Sky Sports.
Spurs are considering the English national to bolster their backline this summer. As things stand, the North London side’s interest is in the early stages, but there have been discussions regarding making it formal.
At the moment, the centre-back’s current contract with the Cottagers is set to enter its final year in the coming weeks. The Craven Cottage side have been unable to tie the 25-year-old to a new deal as of yet.
To that end, Tottenham are keeping an eye on Adarabioyo’s situation at Fulham. The defender is looking to start a new chapter in his career. While Marco Silva is keen on keeping a hold of the English national, for now, this is the last opportunity for the Cottagers to cash in on him.
The 25-year-old made his way through the youth ranks at Manchester City. In the summer of 2020, the centre-back ended his stint with the Sky Blues and signed for the London-based club.
In the 2022/23 campaign, Adarabioyo caught a lot of people’s attention with some impressive performances. The English national made 29 appearances in all competitions for the Craven Cottage side, scoring one goal.
Tottenham were poor at the back last season. Cristian Romero and Eric Dier were inconsistent. Ben Davies has also been out of his natural position for some time now in defence.
Clement Lenglet was on loan at the club and has returned to Barcelona. Davinson Sanchez has been poor at the North London side for some time now and looks set to leave the Lilywhites this summer.
