Newcastle United join Tottenham Hotspur in Steve Biko forward Adama Bojang race
Premier League rivals Newcastle United have joined Tottenham Hotspur in the race for Steve Biko star Adama Bojang, according to The Guardian.
The Magpies have recently shown interest in acquiring the services of the 19-year-old. However, Manchester United are now also keeping tabs on the Gambia international.
Apart from the North London side, the striker caught the attention of the likes of Liverpool, Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers in the English top flight after his performances in the U-20 World Cup in Argentina.
Steve Biko have set a £2.6 million price tag on Bojang. Teams in the Bundesliga also have him on their radar. The Bakau-based club have already received an offer from an unnamed German outfit.
RB Leipzig and Eintracht Frankfurt are eyeing a move for the 19-year-old this summer. To that end, the Gambian prefers a move to a team in the top flight in Germany in the ongoing transfer window.
Tottenham have a number of young talents on their books for the forward ranks. Troy Parrott and Dane Scarlett have shown immense potential over the last few years at the North London side.
As for the senior squad, Harry Kane is an example for the youngsters at Spurs. The English skipper made his way through the youth ranks at the Lilywhites and is now one of the best players in the world.
Unfortunately, in the 2022/23 campaign, the 29-year-old had to shoulder the burden of our attack. Son Heung-min, Dejan Kulusevski and Richarlison were unable to make a big enough impact when called upon.
