Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo identified as Tottenham Hotspur target
Tottenham Hotspur have identified Fulham star Tosin Adarabioyo as a potential target to bolster the defence this summer, according to the Evening Standard.
In the ongoing transfer window, the North London side are looking to add reinforcements to their backline. To that end, the Lilywhites have the English national on their radar.
As things stand, the 25-year-old’s current contract with the Cottagers is set to expire at the end of next season. However, the centre-back has been unable to reach an agreement with the Craven Cottage side over fresh terms and is open to parting ways.
Apart from Spurs, Ligue 1 outfits Stade Rennais and AS Monaco are interested in Adarabioyo. The English national will prioritise looking at his potential next club’s sporting project rather than where they are based.
Fulham enjoyed a decent campaign back in the Premier League. In the 2022/23 season, the Cottagers finished 10th in the league table. The 25-year-old defender was a key player for Marco Silva’s team.
However, the Craven Cottage side are open to cashing in on Adarabioyo this summer. The Cottagers have already lined up Fiorentina’s Igor Julio as a possible replacement.
Tottenham were not up to the mark defensively in the previous campaign. The North London side relied heavily on the likes of Cristian Romero and Eric Dier. However, the two were underwhelming.
On the other hand, Clement Lenglet, who was on loan at Spurs, has also returned to Barcelona. Davinson Sanchez also looks set to depart the Lilywhites in the ongoing transfer window.

Therefore, we evidently need to add numbers to our defence. Adarabioyo is a decent defender with a proven track record in the English top flight. However, it remains to be seen whether Tottenham will make a move for him.
