Crystal Palace ‘interested’ in former on-loan Tottenham Hotspur forward Arnaut Danjuma
Arnaut Danjuma, who spent the second half of the 2022/23 season on loan at Tottenham Hotspur, is attracting interest from Crystal Palace, according to the Daily Mail.
Spurs signed the Holland international on a temporary move in the previous transfer window. The North London side had the option to buy the forward this summer. However, the Lilywhites did not retain him.
Now, the Eagles have the 26-year-old on their radar. Our Premier League rivals are looking to bolster their attacking options. As things stand, the future of Wilfried Zaha at the Selhurst Park side is uncertain.
To that end, the South London club are eyeing a move for Danjuma. Everton attacker Demarai Gray is also being considered by them in the ongoing transfer window.
Danjuma came to Tottenham from Villarreal. At the La Liga outfit, the Dutch national enjoyed a fruitful 2021/22 campaign, scoring some crucial goals as the Yellow Submarines made it to the Champions League semi-finals.
At the start of last season, the forward was injured and did not play much for the Castellon-based club. The 26-year-old’s fortunes did not change at the North London side either.
Antonio Conte hardly used Danjuma at Spurs. Similarly, Cristian Stellini and Ryan Mason did not seem to fancy him. That is not surprising, with the likes of Harry Kane, Dejan Kulusevksi, Richarlison and Son Heung-min in our ranks.
The Holland international ended up making 12 appearances in all competitions for Tottenham, scoring two goals. Therefore, he did not do much for the North London side to consider the attacker’s permanent arrival.

However, to be fair to the forward, he was not given much of a chance at Spurs. Therefore, it remains to be seen whether Palace will be willing to take a chance on the 26-year-old.
