Speaking to Last Word on Spurs, Journalist Sami Mokbel says Eric Dier wants to stay at Tottenham Hotspur and impress new manager Ange Postecoglou next season.

“Centre-back is an area they definitely want to strengthen, 100 per cent. On that point actually, I would like to add there’s been a lot of talk this summer about Eric Dier possibly leaving the club. My understanding of that situation is that Eric Dier actually wants to stay and he wants to fight for his place. He’s actually looking forward to working with Ange Postecoglou next season”
While it remains to be seen if Postecoglou shares the same sentiment and sees a future for Dier at Tottenham, the defender’s versatility could prove valuable to the squad. He has the ability to seamlessly slot into various positions, making him an asset, particularly for cup games and providing depth in the squad.
