PSG enter the race for Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane
The transfer saga surrounding Tottenham Hotspur’s prized asset, Harry Kane, has taken another twist as French giants PSG have now entered the race to secure the services of the prolific striker.
French outlet RMC Sport have come up with this revelation, as PSG are reportedly determined to do everything within their power to lure Harry Kane away from North London. They are willing to bring out the chequebook for the same.
PSG officials recently embarked on a crucial visit to the English capital to engage in discussions not only with Tottenham but also with Harry Kane’s entourage. It appears that the French club consider signing a top-class striker an absolute priority for the upcoming season.
Interestingly, this is not PSG’s first attempt to initiate talks with the Tottenham talisman. Several weeks ago, the French outfit made their initial approach, but unfortunately, they could not reach a mutual agreement at the time.
Undeterred by their initial setback, PSG are scheduled to hold a second meeting this week in a renewed bid to convince Kane of their ambitions. Tottenham will hope that the Englishman doesn’t sway in the French club’s direction.
Harry Kane’s current preference lies with Bayern Munich, who are also eager to secure the services of the English international. While PSG’s interest adds an intriguing twist to the saga, it appears that Kane’s heart is currently set on joining the German giants.
In an attempt to sway Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy, Bayern Munich are said to be preparing a third bid for Kane, hoping that the player’s desire for the move will exert pressure on the club to accept the deal.
While Bayern Munich may find it challenging to compete with PSG’s substantial financial backing, they might still have a glimmer of hope. Kane’s current desire to join the German giants could play to their advantage.
