Tottenham Hotspur name asking price for Harry Kane
The ongoing Harry Kane transfer saga has gripped the attention of football fans worldwide as the summer transfer window heats up. Speculation surrounding the future of the Tottenham striker has been relentless, with recent reports linking him to Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich.
The Bavarian giants have persistently pursued Kane’s signature, lodging two unsuccessful bids, with the latest being around £68million. These figures, however, fell significantly short of Tottenham’s valuation of their club’s top-scorer of all time.
Despite facing rejection, Bayern Munich remain undeterred in their pursuit of the prolific English forward. They seem to have managed to sway Kane’s interest, with manager Thomas Tuchel playing a pivotal role in convincing him to make the move to Germany.
In a bid to accelerate the process, Bayern Munich are now preparing a third and improved offer for Kane. The club hopes that with the player’s influence and desire to secure the transfer, Tottenham will be inclined to negotiate and facilitate the move.
The transfer saga took an explosive turn when Bayern’s honorary president openly criticized Daniel Levy for what he perceived as stalling tactics, accusing him of “playing for time.” The honorary president went a step further, boldly stating that Kane has already made up his mind to join Bayern.
Amidst these developments, L’Equipe (h/t Portuguese outlet Bola Na Rede) have now revealed that Tottenham have indeed set their asking price for Kane. The North London club are reportedly demanding €116 million for their star striker.
Moreover, Daniel Levy has made it explicitly clear that Kane must either commit to a new contract with the club or be sold this summer. This decisive stance reflects Tottenham’s desire to avoid the risk of losing their talisman on a free transfer next summer.
If Bayern Munich successfully secures the services of Harry Kane, it will mark a significant coup for the German outfit. Kane’s arrival would undoubtedly strengthen their attacking prowess, bolstering an already formidable squad under the guidance of Thomas Tuchel.
