Report: Tottenham Hotspur superstar not interested in PSG move

Tottenham Hotspur's Interim head coach Ryan Mason speaks with Harry Kane.

Tottenham Hotspur superstar Harry Kane not interested in PSG move

Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) are apparently not on Harry Kane’s mind this summer as the Tottenham Hotspur striker’s future remains up in the air.

According to the Telegraph (Subscription Required), the Lilywhites face a straight battle with Bayern Munich for the English striker. Daniel Levy isn’t budging from his £100m+ valuation of the player, which makes sense.

He is our club’s all-time leading goalscorer and the best hope we have of ending our 15-year run without silverware. Manchester United have also seemingly exited the race for the striker.

This would come as good news for Spurs fans considering it takes out two viable options for Kane. If Levy and Bayern Munich don’t come to an agreement, then he could stay here for another season.

Kane not going to PSG

Of course, that means he could leave as a free agent next year, which would be a financial blunder for the club considering they could have used the transfer fee to invest in his potential replacement.

But that will give us more time to prove our project to the 29-year-old and convince him to pen fresh terms at the club. In a way, Kane not wanting PSG isn’t really an update that Levy would have wanted. This takes a financial giant out of the race who could have potentially incited a battle for Kane.

If they put in a sizable bid, then perhaps the Bavarian giants would have upped the ante as well. Now, they know that they face next to no serious competition for the Spurs superstar.

PSG are also facing a battle to keep Real Madrid-linked Kylian Mbappe this summer after Lionel Messi’s exit as a free agent. But it seems they will have to look for other targets.
