Galatasaray submit improved offer for Tottenham midfielder Tanguy Ndombele

Galatasaray have apparently submitted an improved offer to sign Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Tanguy Ndombele.

This is according to Turkish outlet Oley.com reporter Ertan Suzgun. His tweet implies that Gala’s previous offer of €8million wasn’t enough for Spurs.

The Turkish giants have apparently increased that fee by a small margin and reduced the duration in which they will pay the fee to Tottenham. It remains to be seen how Tottenham react to it.

Ndombele was signed for a gigantic £63million with add-ons to sign him from Olympique Lyonnais in 2019. He has been a major disappointment since then, failing to establish himself under multiple managers.

Sell him

His attitude on the pitch hasn’t been right and his work rate off the ball has failed to impress. His loan spells to Napoli and Lyon didn’t catch the eye as well.

It seems the time has come to finally admit that the club made a mistake by signing him. It isn’t even about cutting losses now. The earlier his future is sorted, the better it will be for all parties.

Gala’s fee is a little low compared to what we signed Ndombele for. But he hasn’t done anything to retain that value, let alone increase it.

It is more important to free up the £200,000-a-week wages he is pocketing here. That money can be used in a much better manner on a new signing or to better one of our current star’s pay package.

Ndombele still has two years left on his contract at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium (Transfermarkt). The best time to offload him permanently was last season. The second best is right now. It is important we free up the team by selling players not in our plans.
