Barcelona midfielder Franck Kessie to decide between Juventus and Tottenham Hotspur transfer
Frank Kessie, currently at Barcelona, has to decide between a move to Juventus or Tottenham Hotspur this summer, according to The Times (Subscription Required).
The Ivory Coast international has been linked with a move away from the Blaugrana in the ongoing transfer window. To that end, the midfielder has two options on the table in the Bianconeri and the North London side.
Massimiliano Allegri’s team have already made a proposal to get a hold of the 26-year-old’s signature. The Old Lady have agreed on a loan deal with the La Liga outfit with an option to buy him if certain conditions are met.
However, Spurs are hoping that Kessie will be allured by the challenge of playing in the Premier League. The Ivorian has previously played for Atalanta and AC Milan in Italy in the past.
The midfielder spent several fruitful years at the Rossoneri, winning the Scudetto in the 2021/22 term. He then joined Barcelona as a free agent last summer.
However, Kessie has found game time hard to come by at the Blaugrana. Xavi has an abundance of talent at his disposal in the middle of the park. In the previous campaign, the Ivorian started in just seven La Liga matches.
At Tottenham, Ange Postecoglou has a lot of depth in the engine room as things stand. The Australian manager can call upon Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, Yves Bissouma, Oliver Skipp, Tanguy Ndombele, Giovani Lo Celso, Rodrigo Bentancur and Pape Matar Sarr.
However, it remains to be seen how many of the current crop of midfielders will remain put at the North London side after the end of the summer transfer window.
