Tottenham Hotspur backed to make a summer bid for Fulham defender Tosin Adarabioyo
Tottenham Hotspur are expected to put in a bid to sign Tosin Adarabioyo from Fulham in the ongoing transfer window, according to football.london.
Spurs are keen on bolstering the backline this summer. However, as of yet, the North London side have not added any reinforcements in the centre-back area.
Tottenham has been linked with the English national and are now set to make an offer. Apart from the 25-year-old, the Lilywhites also have Bayer Leverkusen’s Edmond Tapsoba and Micky van de Ven of Wolfsburg on their radar.
As things stand, Adarabioyo is in the final year of his current contract at the Craven Cottage side. Therefore, considering the English national will be a free agent next summer; hopefully, the North London side will be able to get a cut-price deal on him.
While Spurs are anticipated to make a proposal to sign the defender this week, Ligue 1 outfit AS Monaco are also interested in him. However, the centre-back is keen on making a move to the N17.
Adarabioyo made his way through the youth ranks at Manchester City. However, the defender was unable to make a place for himself at the Sky Blues and signed for Fulham in the summer of 2020.
After helping Fulham get promotion to the Championship, the English national found himself in and out of Marco Silva’s team last season. However, the centre-back still ended up starting 23 games in the Premier League.
Tottenham’s defensive options, for now, include the likes of Eric Dier, Cristian Romero, Ben Davies, Japhet Tanganga and Davinson Sanchez. However, it remains to be seen how many of them are still at the club come the end of the transfer window.

We evidently need a couple of quality signings in the centre-back area after our inconsistencies in defence last season. Adarabioyo looks like a decent option. But whether the North London side will get him remains to be seen.
