Gent striker Gift Orban on Tottenham Hotspur radar amidst Harry Kane uncertainty
Tottenham Hotspur have Gent striker Gift Orban on their radar amidst the uncertainty surrounding the future of Harry Kane, according to Het Nieuwsblad (h/t The Sun).
Spurs are interested in acquiring the services of the Nigeria international in the ongoing transfer window. However, apart from the North London side, Premier League rivals Manchester United and Chelsea also have him on their radar.
Apart from the English top flight, the 21-year-old is also being linked with a move to LOSC Lille. The striker is being eyed as a replacement by the Ligue 1 outfit if Jonathan David were to leave this summer.
As things stand, Kane is attracting attention from Bayern Munich. The Bavarians are optimistic about getting a hold of the England international. However, the Bundesliga outfit are yet to reach an agreement with Tottenham.
Even if the German giants are unable to reach a consensus with the North London side, the 30-year-old could still part ways with the club next summer. The striker is in the final year of his current contract at Spurs.
Orban made a name for himself in Norway with Staebaek before Gent came knocking for his services. At the Belgian outfit, the forward was impressive in the 2022/23 term, finding the back of the net 20 times in 22 appearances in all competitions.
In case Kane leaves and we get the Nigerian, he would arguably not be the starter. Richarlison seems to be the go-to replacement in the squad for the English skipper. The Brazil international played as a number nine for Everton before moving to the North London side last summer.
