Daniel Levy is personally navigating the final stages of the Micky van de Ven deal
According to popular Italian journalist Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy is personally navigating the final stages of the deal for talented Wolfsburg defender Micky van de Ven.
Tottenham have been pushing hard to try and sign talented defender Van de Ven from the Bundesliga club this summer. It was never going to be to sign the young Dutchman but Spurs do not look like they’ll give up.
Luckily for them, they seem to be in the final stages of agreeing on a deal with Wolfsburg and Levy seems to have taken it up on himself to try and make sure that he gets the transfer over the line for the defender.
A tall pacy centre-back who would suit Ange Postecoglou’s system perfectly, Micky van de Ven will really be suited to his team. His performances for Wolfsburg have really caught the eye of Tottenham.
Considering the current condition of our defence, there is absolutely no doubt that Van de Ven will be a huge upgrade on the existing options and he would partner Cristian Romero really well in the backline.
However, adapting to the Premier League is no easy task and Tottenham fans must be patient with the player. We have seen many players go through teething trouble due to the intensity of the league.
In terms of raw potential though, no one can doubt Van de Ven. He possesses a lot of qualities that make him very appealing in modern-day football and his ceiling is deemed to be very high.
