Gary Neville predicts Tottenham Hotspur to finish 8th in the Premier League

Speaking on The Overlap, Manchester United legend Gary Neville has predicted that Tottenham Hotspur will finish 8th in the Premier League in the upcoming season.

According to Neville’s insightful clairvoyance, Tottenham are destined to clinch the 8th spot on the table, nestled beneath the likes of powerhouses such as Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Aston Villa, and the ever-determined Newcastle.

Gary Neville is always known for his controversial insights and it came as no surprise that he chose to rank Tottenham so low next season. There is a feeling that the right-back might be wrong with his predictions though.

Tottenham under Ange Postecoglou are looking to get into a new era – one that promises to be exciting and better than the previous ones. However, their quality can be evaluated only after the season starts.

Speaking about his predictions, here is what Neville had to say about what he thinks will be the Premier League table next season

“Just because of the three thing and never winning a fourth I am going to go Arsenal to win the league, City second. I think Arsenal can beat them. I think Arsenal, City, Man United, Liverpool, Chelsea, Villa. Newcastle and Tottenham. I think Newcastle and Tottenham, I think Newcastle Champions League and Tottenham, I’m not quite sure what is going on there”

Given Tottenham’s status as a relative enigma with Postecoglou at the helm, Neville’s conjectures seem to have some weight behind them. However, there is no doubt that the club will be keen on proving them wrong.

Neville has made some bold predictions for the upcoming season

Tottenham have made some very smart acquisitions this seasons. In an interesting tactical setup under Postecoglou, there is absolutely no doubt that the club will perform better than they did last season.

Yes, we’d be fools if we think we are contenders to finish first in the Premier League. However, finishing in the top four seems realistic and there is no reason why we must not target just that right now.
