Harry Kane leaning towards Tottenham Hotspur stay with Bayern Munich offer accepted
Tottenham Hotspur have agreed an offer worth more than €100 million from Bayern Munich to part ways with Harry Kane this summer, according to The Athletic (Subscription Required).
Spurs and the Bavarians have reached a consensus regarding a move for the England international. However, it is now up to the striker to decide whether to leave the North London side in the ongoing transfer window.
As things stand, the 30-year-old is in the final year of his current contract at the Lilywhites. Therefore, it makes sense for the club to cash in on the forward in the coming weeks.
Kane wanted the situation resolved before the start of the 2023/24 term, with Tottenham playing Brentford on 13 August. Now, the North London side’s academy graduate has a decision to make.
However, as things stand, the striker is delighted with life under Ange Postecoglou. Also, the English skipper has been leaning towards staying at Spurs in the ongoing transfer window.
Bayern have been pursuing Kane for some time now. They first made a proposal to acquire the services of the striker in June and have had three bids rejected for him before the Lilywhites accepted the latest one.
It is understandable that the Bundesliga giants want to get a hold of the English skipper’s signature. Thomas Tuchel has Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting in his ranks for now. The Allianz Arena side have not replaced Roberto Lewandowski after losing him last summer.
At Tottenham, Kane has been our talisman for several years now. The English national was the North London side’s leading goalscorer season after season. In the previous campaign, the forward had 30 goals in 38 league appearances.
