Tottenham Hotspur open to the idea of swapping Davinson Sanchez for Victor Nelsson

According to Turkish outlet Takvim, Tottenham Hotspur have welcomed the idea to arrange a part-exchange deal with Galatasaray for talented young defender Victor Nelsson which will see Davinson Sanchez move the other way.

Sanchez has been heavily linked with an exit from Tottenham ever since the beginning of the summer. Galatasaray are a club apparently keen on acquiring the services of the Colombian centre-back.

Tottenham’s pursuit of Victor Nelsson has introduced an unexpected twist to the narrative. Galatasaray’s creative proposition is simple yet intriguing: a swap deal that could involve both players finding new pastures.

Enter Victor Nelsson, a talent that has piqued Tottenham’s curiosity. While Spurs were not happy to do the deal at Galatasaray’s asking price for Nelsson, which stood at a substantial €25 million including Sanchez seems to have sweetened the deal.

Galatasaray have proposed that Tottenham pay a sum of €13 million alongside the inclusion of Davinson Sanchez to secure Victor Nelsson’s services. This would represent a win-win for both clubs.

This approach is a demonstration of Galatasaray’s strategic thinking, leveraging Tottenham’s interest in Nelsson to potentially land a player who has caught their eye. If both clubs get what they want, then why not just do this?

From Tottenham’s perspective, the proposal brings a unique dimension to their summer transfer plans. They will manage to get a player they want to sell out of the club and also get a player for the same position.

If Ange Postecoglou decides that he wants to sign Nelsson, there is no reason why Tottenham should not consider this deal. At face value, this seems like a good deal for both the clubs involved.
