Bayern Munich want Tottenham Hotspur target Ibrahim Sangare from PSV Eindhoven

PSV Eindhoven star and Tottenham Hotspur target Ibrahim Sangare is wanted by Bayern Munich in the ongoing transfer window, according to Spanish outlet Fichajes.com.

The Bavarians are looking to bolster their engine room this summer and have the 25-year-old on their radar. Thomas Tuchel wants to prioritise the addition of a defensive midfielder in the coming weeks and admires the Ivory Coast international.

To that end, Sangare is keen on making his way to a big club like Bayern. However, Spurs are also interested in the midfielder alongside other teams in the Premier League, as per The Athletic (Subscription Required).

PSV signed the Ivorian in the summer of 2020. Last year, the former Toulouse star extended his contract until June 2027 at the Eindhoven-based club, which includes a €37 million release clause.

Sangare has been a key player for the Eredivisie outfit over the years. At the Philips Stadion side, he has grown from strength to strength and has developed into a quality number six.

Bayern are set to sign Harry Kane from Tottenham. The Bavarians have agreed terms with the North London side. Once the deal is completed, they will subsequently focus on providing cover for the likes of Joshua Kimmich, Leon Goretzka and Konrad Laimer in the engine room.

At Tottenham, Ange Postecoglou can call upon Yves Bissouam, Oliver Skipp and Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg in the pivot position. Apart from them, the Australian manager also has the likes of Giovani Lo Celso, Tanguy Ndombele, Rodrigo Bentancur and Pape Matar Sarr at his disposal in the middle of the park.

Therefore, for now, we seem to have enough numbers in our ranks. However, the transfer window is still open. Therefore, if Spurs see any departures from the midfield, a move for Sangare would evidently make sense.
