Tottenham Hotspur give approval to Harry Kane to travel to Bayern Munich
Journalist David Ornstein has confirmed that Tottenham Hotspur have given an approval to Harry Kane for travelling to Bayern Munich to complete his impending move to the German club.
The 30-year-old English striker sensation seems to have decided that he will make the move to Bayern, ending an association with Tottenham that has lasted since 2009. It will certainly be sad for the club.
Bayern have been trying for Kane throughout the summer. They have seen bid after bid rejected by Tottenham but they finally made one enticing enough for Daniel Levy to give the green light.
Kane’s quest to win trophies at Tottenham is set to become an unrealised dream for the time-being but it is certain that a move to Bayern will help him do that in the immediate future, considering the German club’s prowess.
Kane is set to fly to Munich today and undergo his medical following which he is expected to sign a 4-year deal with the Bavarian giants. Thomas Tuchel has been instrumental in bringing the Englishman to Germany.
If Kane leaves, he is set to abandon the chance of beating Alan Shearer’s Premier League goal record, something that the Tottenham man seemed destined to beat if he had stayed in the English league.
Bayern have been searching for a number nine ever since Robert Lewandowski left them for Barcelona. Last season, they tried Sadio Mane in that position without much success and it almost cost them their Bundesliga trophy.
Tottenham wanted Kane to stay and understandably so. Now though, they need to find a way to fill the momentous void that will be created when the Englishman leaves the club. Rest assured, it is not going to be easy.
