Tottenham Hotspur needed this one reassurance to sanction Sevilla deal for Alejo Veliz.

Alejo Veliz has caught the eye of Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou in training

According to Football. London, talented Tottenham recruit Alejo Veliz has caught the eye of manager Ange Postecoglou in training and that is the reason he has made the bench already.

In a summer that witnessed the departure of their beloved talisman Harry Kane, the arrival of Veliz raised more than a few eyebrows. Spurs opted for a different approach, placing their faith in the young Argentine sensation from Rosario Central.

In a season that kicked off with uncertainties, Tottenham have been surprisingly resilient, coping well in the absence of their star striker. The likes of Heung-min Son, Richarlison, and Dejan Kulusevski have stepped up admirably, sharing the responsibility of finding the back of the net.

Ange Postecoglou, the man at the helm of this rejuvenated Tottenham side, has a knack for spotting raw talent and nurturing it into something extraordinary. His unique approach to player development could see him do something special with Alejo Veliz.

Training sessions are the breeding ground for young talents to showcase their abilities, and Veliz has seized this opportunity with both hands. He has really caught the eye of the Australian gaffer.

It’s no surprise, then, that Veliz earned a spot on the substitute bench during the highly anticipated North London derby. The mere presence of his name among the substitutes spoke volumes about the confidence the coaching staff has in this young Argentine.

While expectations must be managed, the prospect of seeing Veliz in action is tantalising. His swift adaptation to the English game, coupled with his lethal finishing, could be a game-changer for Tottenham’s attacking dynamics.

We must remember that it might be a while before we see Veliz in action though. Postecoglou might not want to throw him into the deep end as of yet. He will want to give him to develop before eventually easing him in.
