Tottenham star Manor Solomon undergoes another surgery as injury setbacks continues

Tottenham Hotspur star Manor Solomon is set for a spell on the sidelines

According to Football. London, Tottenham Hotspur winger Manor Solomon is set to spend some time on the sidelines with an injury which leaves Spurs extremely short in the forward areas.

The talented Israeli winger has made a good start to life at the N17, impressing in the chances that he has gotten until now. That said, he has not really started many games yet and his impact has been on and off.

Manor Solomon found himself on the bench last weekend in the game against Liverpool and came on as a late substitute for captain Son Heung-min. The fact that Ange Postecoglou started Richarlison on the left ahead of Solomon said something about the pecking order.

However, all that does not matter now as the former Fulham forward has suffered an injury that is set to keep him out for a significant period. He will be hoping that he can recover as soon as possible.

Tottenham’s left wing seems to be cursed this season. They have already lost veteran Ivan Perisic to an ACL injury that will see him miss the majority of the current season. Brennan Johnson has had his injury troubles too.

Son Heung-min’s services are required in the number nine role and he does not seem like he will be playing much in the left wing at least until the club signs a new striker. He has not been free of niggles either.

That leaves us with Richarlison who in fact played much better as the left winger against Liverpool. His influence on the game diminished after being moved into the number nine role and maybe he could make the left wing his own.

The most interesting one though has to be the imminent return of Bryan Gil. The Spaniard went under the knife back in the summer and could not come in at a better time. Postecoglou is undoubtedly going to give him a chance and he will be hoping to take it.

More Tottenham Hotspur

There is absolutely no doubt that Tottenham look a bit weak in the forward areas due to these injuries. Let’s hope Solomon and the others return to action soon.
