Tottenham Hotspur star Manor Solomon undergoes knee surgery
As confirmed by the club’s official website , Tottenham Hotspur star Manor Solomon has undergone surgery on his knee.
The Israeli winger will now spend the coming weeks on the sidelines in what is a huge blow for Ange Postecoglou. The 24-year-old has been a lively presence in the attack for Spurs since his arrival in the summer and will be missed.
Solomon arrived from Shakhtar Donetsk on a free transfer and already has two assists in six games for the North Londoners. Capable of playing on either flank, Solomon’s availability would have given Postecoglou options heading into a busy spell of games.
The Spurs ace suffered the injury in training following last week’s controversial win over Liverpool. Any chance of it being a minor issue was smashed when it was revealed that he had injured his medial collateral ligament and would now spend considerable time out.
While Tottenham have not yet given a timeframe for his absence, Solomon is expected to be out for around two months. We might not see him return to training until the Christmas period, whose schedule will be taxing on your thin squad.
The 24-year-old has largely been used as a substitute by Postecoglou. His ability to hold the ball and run at opponents is a major trait that the Spurs boss has used to great effect. Being unable to bring it off the bench is truly a thing of concern.
We hope the Spurs ace now focuses on his rehabilitation and comes back fully fit as soon as possible. The last thing we now need is to rush him back into action before he is ready.

The injury is an unfortunate one and the onus is now on Postecoglou to make the most of his available players. Hopefully, the remaining players will not suffer any misfortunes in what is shaping up to be a promising season.
