Real Madrid legend Gareth Bale talks about Tottenham Hotspur under Ange Postecoglou
There have been numerous players who have dazzled us in the last decade but very few can beat former Real Madrid and Tottenham Hotspur superstar Gareth Bale in that regard.
A terrifying winger who at his best has proved to be absolutely unplayable, Bale’s career is one for the folklore. He has had someone the best moments a footballer can hope for and has been a very important player for the clubs he played at.
A 5-time Champions League winner with Real Madrid, Bale’s greatest football moment came in the final against Liverpool in 2018 in Kyiv when he scored two sensational goals to help the Spanish giants to a 3-1 win over Liverpool.
Despite being ridiculed in Madrid towards the latter part of his career, Bale is a Real Madrid legend in every right. In fact, the club seems to agree with this as they have officially inducted him into the list of legends.
Let’s not forget that Gareth Bale made a name for himself at Tottenham though, during his first spell at the club. Back then, he was a left-winger who literally abused his pace and terrified opponent defences. He also had a second spell at the club when he spent a season here on loan. It had its moments but was mostly disappointing.
Speaking about Tottenham’s brilliant start to the season under manager Ange Postecoglou, here is what Bale had to say
“Very much so. The manager has come in and done a great job, he’s changed the face of the club and looks to be on a great trajectory, and hopefully Spurs can continue to keep playing well, I’m excited for what’s to come”
Bale hit the nail right on the head when he said “he’s changed the face of the club”. That’s exactly what Ange has done with the team. He has made them play an exciting brand of football.
The players seem to be buying into the manager’s vision and exciting times lie ahead for Tottenham. It is exciting to think how well Bale would have fit in at the club in the current system.
