Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are interested in Galatasaray star Kerem Akturkoglu
Tottenham Hotspur and Arsenal are both not just fighting for North London and Premier League supremacy but also in the transfer market for Kerem Akturkoglu.
The Galatasaray star has been impressive for the Turkish giants this season. The 24-year-old has been with the Red and Gold since 2020 and is quickly developing into one of the best midfielders in the Turkish Super Lig.
He has five goals and seven assists in 16 appearances across all competitions for Galatasaray this season. Of these, one came at Old Trafford as the Turks earned a famous 3-2 win over Manchester United.
Primarily a left-winger, Akturkoglu is capable of playing anywhere along the frontline. This is good news for Ange Postecoglou who employs a versatile frontline capable of interchanging positions when needed.
However, Tottenham are unlikely to have a free run at landing the Turkish star. As per The Sun, Arsenal are also in the fray and could pose a major challenge for us as we near the 2024 January transfer window.
A solid finisher and creator, the Turkish ace is a dominant presence upfield. While his hold up play and defensive actions could do with more work, Akturkoglu is potent in attack.
Signing him will ensure that Postecoglou can rotate Son Heung-min with Richarlison upfront rather than have him out on the left. More so, landing him ahead of Arsenal could prove to be a psychological boost as both teams aim to outdo each other on and off the field.

Should Akturkoglu continue his hot form, he will only garner more interest from other top clubs across Europe. Several eyes in England will be on the 24-year-old when Manchester United travel to Galatasaray on November 29th.
