Birmingham Mail reporter Ashley Preece explains what Johan Lange could bring to Tottenham Hotspur

Even as Fabio Paratici’s signings are starting to thrive at Tottenham Hotspur long after he is gone, Tottenham Hotspur have made an appointment – Johan Lange, who will assume responsibilities as the club’s technical director.

Paratici planted the seeds by signing some absolute gems for the club. Back then, not all of them managed to create an impression. Right now though, Tottenham are reaping the rewards for the Italian’s hard work.

Paratici had to leave his role abruptly though, due to a ban for 30 months by Italian authorities following an investigation into Juventus. Since then, Tottenham have not made a replacement until Lange.

Lange is all about the future value of players which is something he did really well at his previous gig at Copenhagen. Villa’s 19-year-old Colombian striker Duran could turn out to be Lange’s best-ever signings. We’ll wait and see”
