Tottenham Hotspur learn likely return dates for Rodrigo Bentancur and Ryan Sessegnon
Injuries are not really something that can be controlled in the world of sport and Tottenham Hotspur have seen their fair share of bad luck with it in recent times, especially with the long-term absenteeism of Rodrigo Bentancur and Ryan Sessegnon.
Bentancur has been absent for quite a while now since he suffered an ACL injury in February this year whereas Ryan Sessegnon has seen his numerous injury issues trouble him again despite a promising start last campaign.
Sessegnon’s absence hasn’t been felt much due to the presence of Destiny Udogie who is enjoying his life at Tottenham. However, Bentancur’s quality is irreplaceable in midfield and the club will be waiting to have him back.
It has now been claimed by Football. London that November 26 is the likely date of return for the injured Tottenham Hotspur duo. Ange Postecoglou will be hoping that the day comes as soon as possible.
Ryan Sessegnon is unlikely to find his place in the team as a left-back under Ange Postecoglou. However, as a winger on the left side of the attack, he might be given a lot of chances, especially with the injuries to Manor Solomon and Ivan Perisic.
The English youngster possesses the kind of electrifying ability that Postecoglou really values and he could hopefully be the manager who finally unlocks the potential that Sessegnon had and set him free.
Rodrigo Bentancur though would fit into the midfield like a dream alongside Yves Bissouma. Based on pure technical ability, there is no better midfielder at the club than the Uruguayan and his return could not come sooner.
Tottenham must not rush Bentancur back and going by how cautious they are with his recovery, they seem to have no intentions of doing that either. It is important that the Uruguayan recovers completely.
