Tottenham Hotspur star Pedro Porro is full of praise for former Spurs ace Harry Kane
Pedro Porro and Harry Kane did not share the dressing room at Tottenham Hotspur for long but the English skipper certainly left a lasting impression on the young full-back.
Kane left North London for Bayern Munich earlier in the summer and continues to make an impact for both club and country. He scored twice on the night as the Three Lions defeated defending champions Italy in their Group C UEFA Euro 2024 qualifiers on Tuesday night.
The win takes Gareth Southgate’s side to 16 points from six games, earning them a spot in next summer’s Championship in Germany. Kane is likely to be one of the players to watch if the Three Lions have ambitions of going all the way.
England fell at the final hurdle last time around at the Euros when Italy defeated them on penalties at Wembley. Kane’s double on Tuesday saw them get a semblance of revenge against the Azzurri, also denting their shot at making the tournament proper.
Kane drew the home side level from the penalty spot after Gianluca Scamacca gave Italy the lead early in the first half. Marcus Rashford turned the tie on its head before the hour mark while Kane scored a third in the 77th minute to put the tie beyond doubt.
Porro appears to have been watching the match and was left in awe of his former teammate. The Spurs ace took to X to reveal his admiration for Kane. It is a shame that the duo were unable to spend more time together at Tottenham.
What a player Harry..😍

Kane’s double on the night takes his tally for England to 61 goals, further extending his position at the top of the country’s all-time goalscorers. At 30, he is far from done and we are sure Porro will have plenty of opportunities to see his former teammate put opposition defences to the sword.
