Tottenham linked with a move for 23-year-old Juventus star Andrea Cambiaso
Tottenham Hotspur, as per Italian outlet Calciomercato.com, are keeping an eye on Juventus’ Andrea Cambiaso.
The Italian player joined Juventus from Genoa in the summer of 2022 and isn’t really a household name yet. But he is gaining praise for his performances this season.
He has featured in nine games across competitions for Juventus this season, where he has registered a goal and an assist. The 23-year-old plays as a left-back and has already represented Italy at the youth level.
Spurs, AC Milan, and Fiorentina have all been linked with the Italian, who is said to be on the cusp of an international call-up with the senior team. But do Tottenham really need a left-back?
No need
Destiny Udogie is doing pretty well this season. He is a player who is already a full international for Italy and has a lot of years ahead of him.
He should be the player we focus on with regard to the left-back spot. But Ben Davies and Ivan Perisic aren’t getting any younger.
In fact, some would even think their time at Tottenham is soon up. If they don’t leave, then it is still evident that Ange Postecoglou won’t be picking them regularly as his first-choice left-back.
In case either of them leave, Cambiaso makes sense. But then again, will he really want to swap Juventus for Tottenham if he won’t get regular playing time here?

Why would he, in that situation, want to relocate to a foreign league and leave his homeland? This is a move we shouldn’t be bothered about unless Ange doesn’t rate Udogie, wants an upgrade on him, or is set to lose a number of players down the left flank in 2024.
