Former Tottenham Hotspur player Tim Sherwood praises Dejan Kulusevski for his impressive playing style
Speaking to the post-match interview as showcased by Disney plus Hotstar, former Tottenham Hotspur player Tim Sherwood explains how brilliant Dejan Kulusevski have been for Spurs and how his game sense has helped him become a better version of himself.
Ever since he joined Spurs, the Swede has been a darling among the supporters. He was exceptional under Antonio Conte, and with Ange Postecoglou in charge, he has reached new heights.
Kulusevski receives a plethora of accolades for his exceptional ball control, yet one aspect of his game that often goes unnoticed is his impressive physical strength. It’s incredibly difficult to dispossess him, according to Tim Sherwood.
Kulusevski has been criticised for not scoring enough goals for Tottenham. After improving on that aspect, the 23-year-old is now consistently finding the back of the net more frequently. Tim Sherwood declared Kulusevski to be the most underappreciated player in the Premier League following his goal and assist last night.
Sherwood also said:
“He is just impossible to mark. When you stand next to this kid, he’s 6ft 3. He is built like a boxer. You wouldn’t want to get close to him, he’ll just push you away.”
It is clear that Kulusevski is a player who is dedicated to improving every facet of his game since he is self-aware of the fact that his right foot is undervalued. In the course of his ongoing adaptation to various positions under the direction of Ange Postecoglou, the awareness of the potential of his right foot emerges as a promising resource for the offensive dynamics of Tottenham.
In his first 10 Premier League games this season, the Swede only managed to score two goals. In his last seven matches, he has managed to score three goals and provide two assists, which is a significant improvement. With plenty of games remaining, we anticipate him increasing his goal count and reaching double figures.

Dejan Kulusevski is a fantastic player, as everyone knows, but up until last summer, Heung-min Son and Harry Kane somewhat eclipsed him. As one of Tottenham’s youngest players, Kulusevski will only get better in the future because he is still only 23 years old.
