Yves Bissouma to serve a four-game suspension after being sent off against Nottingham Forest
Defensive midfielder Yves Bissouma was sent off as Tottenham delivered a 2-0 thrashing to Nottingham Forest. Dejan Kulusevski proved to be the key difference for the Lilywhites in this game.
The attacking midfielder recorded an assist as Richarlison found the back of the net. Moreover, he knocked one in himself in the 65th minute as the Spurs put Nottingham away for good. The team is now set up well for their run at the Premier League title.
However, not every aspect of the game was a positive for Postecoglou’s squad who will now be missing an important piece over the next 4 games. But, that shouldn’t hurt the team’s plans as the Mali national was anyway set to join his team for the Africa Cup of Nations in January.

A late challenge against Ryan Yates resulted in the player catching a lot of flak from the media and fans alike. Since it is his second red card of the season the defensive midfielder will now be serving a four-game suspension.
Bissouma’s suspension comes at a bad time for Tottenham who are already spread thin due to injuries. Postecoglou has previously spoken to Cristian Romero who has had his own share of suspension struggles, now a conversation with Bissouma also seems to be in order.
The Lilywhites should treat the Mali national’s suspension as an example. The team must avoid such careless mistakes as they navigate around their injury issues. Any more suspensions will deal a huge blow to the Spurs’ title aspirations.
