Chris Sutton predicts Spurs to win 3-1 against the in-form Everton this weekend
BBC Sport football pundit Chris Sutton claims Spurs to be reckless while speaking to the British media outlet. The comment was made while Sutton was predicting the upcoming Tottenham Hotspur vs Everton scoreline.
Sutton says,
“Then you have got Ange Postecoglou at Tottenham, who have been the most watchable team in the top flight. Spurs can be reckless at times, and will be without Yves Bissouma here after his red card against Forest.”
He went on to appreciate how Sean Dyche has done a phenomenal job with the Merseyside club. Especially after they have been snubbed of 10 points. As per Chris Sutton, Everton have a nice team balance and stands a chance against Ange Postecoglou’s men.
The pundit however favours Spurs to come out on top in the contest. He predicted the Londoners to bag a 3-1 win. Sutton also revealed how Tottenham have been the most watchable team in the Premier League this season.
Chris Sutton’s ‘claims’ aren’t outrageous
Even though the Spurs faithful might not appreciate their club being deemed ‘reckless’ by Chris Sutton, they know the comment isn’t far-fetched. Tottenham players, particularly Cristian Romero and Yves Bissouma have been reckless through the season.
Romero picked up a red card and subsequent three-match ban, adding pressure on Postecoglou who had to deal with Micky’s injury. The Argentine’s love affair with picking up yellow cards is a popular saga as well. On the other hand, Yves Bissouma has been awarded a red card on two occasions making his commitment to the team questionable.
The Lilywhites head coach needs his team’s support to get back to winning ways. Even though Everton occupies the 16th spot on the league table, they have been putting up a show. The Toffees are unbeaten in the last four games without conceding a single goal.
