Tottenham Hotspur faces a three-way competition for Juventus star Samuel Iling-Junior
According to Tutto Juve (h/t Tutto Mercato Web) , Aston Villa and Brighton have entered the race with Tottenham Hotspur in their pursuit of Samuel Iling-Junior. However, an official offer is yet to be made.
The Old Lady will be looking to offload the 20-year-old forward to finance their January shopping. He is valued at €18 million by the club but Transfermarkt prices the player at €10.00m.
Samuel Iling-Junior grew up in Chelsea’s youth system before finding his new home in Turin. The winger is nothing more than a strong backup option for Massimiliano Allegri. A move away from Juventus should give the youngster more playing time.
Samuel Iling-Junior is the latest addition on the long-list of Ange Postecoglou’s wishlist ahead of the winter window. What awaits in the offing will be an interesting story to pursue.
Iling-Junior has better turfs to graze than Tottenham
Considering the interest from multiple clubs, it makes more sense for the Juve youngster to opt for Aston Villa or Brighton. For one, both these teams are strong contenders within the EPL in terms of performance.
On the other hand, the Spurs roster is filled with attacking talents, leaving the former Chelsea youth player with a risk. Samuel should not settle for anything less than a considerable amount of playing time. This seems highly unlikely at the North London club.
His services can be put to better use at Brighton or Aston Villa. Villa has emerged as one of the strongest contenders in the league this season. Having Samuel Iling-Junior in their ranks will add more depth to their intimidating attacking lineup.’

Ange Postecoglou is gunning for defenders this season. His attacking setup looks quite occupied with Heuing-Min Son, Richarlison, Kulusevski and Brennan Johnson. The 20-year-old forward will have a difficult start to his Premier League career should he choose the North London outfit.
