Tottenham Hotspur loanee Joe Rodon gives insight into his thinking as he answers questions about his Leeds United future
Earlier this year Tottenham Hotspur defender Joe Rodon was sent out on a season-long loan. He joined Leeds United and has been playing for the team ever since. The player has looked very comfortable with his new team.
If it wasn’t for the 26-year-old, Leeds United would have conceded way more than just 22 goals this season. He has been an absolute positive for the club as they try and fight their way to a promotion.
Rodon has been extremely successful with Leeds United. This has led many to ask the age-old question. Will Joe Rodon sign a permanent deal at the end of the season? Well, you don’t have to take it from us since he has already answered it.
Here’s what the Welsh international had to say when asked about his future with Leeds United. (h/t Wales Online)
“I can’t answer that question,”
“All I can focus on is the next game and see what happens.
“Of course [I’m here for the season] and my job is to give everything and try and be as successful as I possibly can with this team, this club.”
The 26-year-old has truly done a magnificent job at dodging questions regarding his future. But Leeds United fans will be happy to know that the only thing on his mind is to perform and help the club win.
If Rodon can help the Whites earn a promotion then we just might see his loan deal get converted to a permanent one. But, keeping his current form in mind, Postecoglou might not let that happen.
A rejuvenated Rodon will go a long way towards helping the Australian coach fill in the gaps in his defence. The Spurs just might be tempted to bring the young man back as a backup centre-back.

Now that we’ve heard the player’s thoughts on the matter, all that’s left to do is wait. Any concrete action affecting Rodan’s immediate future will probably not be taken until the summer.
In the meantime, the team will be focusing on acquiring new talent as they look to recover from their injury struggles.
