Manchester United could rekindle previous interest in Tottenham star Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg
Casemiro, after his first season with Manchester United, has been blowing hot and cold. And that is why, he could see himself being sold. That brings Tottenham star Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg into the fold. However, for the Lilywhites, especially in this period, the Dane is worth nothing less than gold.
Enough of the rhyming words now. As we all know, Man United wanted to bring on board Hojbjerg to Old Trafford before they settled for Sofyan Amrabat in the summer earlier this season. However, if they get any decent offer for Casemiro over the January window, they could rekindle their interest in the 28-year-old.
The former Bayern Munich man, in the coming months, shall hold a very important place in the middle of the park for Ange Postecoglou. The duo of Yves Bissouma and Pape Matar Sarr will head out to play for their respective countries in the AFCON. James Maddison and Rodrigo Bentancur see themselves sidelined due to injuries which means the midfield should remain in the care of Oliver Skipp and Hojbjerg.
Sky Sports claim that if Casemiro goes away, United could potentially make a move for Hojbjerg. He has been very influential in the middle of the park for the Lilywhites in the absence of the regulars and the club must reward him with enough game time for that instead of selling him.
Could we lose the Dane?
To put things as straight as possible, for Tottenham, especially considering the current circumstances, Hojbjerg is an invaluable asset.
Tottenham’s recent resurgence intrinsically sees itself linked to the tactical prowess and motivational acumen of their manager. Postecoglou’s brand of football encourages attacking freedom and positive play, a departure from the more conservative approach under former manager Antonio Conte.
In this transformed environment, players like Hojbjerg have certainly flourished in all the opportunities that have come their way, adapting to the manager’s vision.

Hojbjerg’s influence extends beyond his on-field contributions. The Danish midfielder has emerged as a leader within the squad, demonstrating the commitment and resilience required to drive the team forward. Losing such a figure could disrupt the delicate balance Postecoglou has instilled within the squad.
