Tottenham Hotspur now targeting Fulham centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo but the deal looks unrealistic at the moment
According to the Express, Fulham centre-back Tosin Adarabioyo is on the verge of parting ways with his current club. However, a potential transfer to Spurs in January has become more complex due to the fact that the towering defender is likely to stay there until his contract runs out at the end of the season.
However, Tosin, who garnered attention from Tottenham and Monaco in the previous transfer window, is anticipated to reject it as he desires to depart on a free transfer.
Currently, Fulham are still anticipating that the Manchester City academy product will remain with them in January, even though there are only a few months left on his contract. However, it seems that Marco Silva remains optimistic about the possibility of Tosin having a change of the heart before the season concludes.
Since joining Fulham in 2020 from Manchester City, Tosin has now appeared a total of 113 times. He has seen ups and downs while at the club, including their relegation from the Premier League. He has missed 11 Premier League games this season with a groin surgery.
The club has managed to cope with the absence of James Maddison and Micky Van De Ven, who have missed major chunks due to injuries. However, they will now have to face Everton without Destiny Udogie and Yves Bissouma, who received suspensions following their cards in the match against Nottingham Forest.
Signing a new centre-back has become Spurs’ top transfer priority for the upcoming January window. Postecoglou’s team will face Everton this Saturday, but once again they will have to cope with a lengthy list of players who are unable to participate.

Tottenham will surely be looking to secure his signature at a reasonable price to strengthen their defensive line. However, the outcome will heavily rely on the 26-year-old and the decisions he makes. Currently, Fulham are falling behind in the competition to secure his contract extension, but Silva remains determined to advocate for a renewal.
