Here are two players that shined and one that somewhat disappointed during the Tottenham Hotspur vs Everton game
Tottenham Hotspur and Everton might have played the most exciting Premier League fixture last night. On a night that had teams like Manchester United, Arsenal and Liverpool in the fray, it was the Spurs who were truly spectacular.
The Lilywhites won a hard-fought battle against the Toffees. The game ended with a 2-1 scoreline in favour of Tottenham. For a moment during the final minutes, it looked like an Everton equaliser was inevitable.
However, Guglielmo Vicario was truly magnificent and one of the stars from last night. His 7 spectacular saves and excellent distribution were pivotal to Tottenham’s efforts (fot.mob). The scoreboard would have looked a lot different without him in goal.
Another player who shined during Tottenham’s triumph was Emerson Royal. Though he didn’t make it to the score sheet his excellent passing, stellar positioning and defensive efforts later on were crucial for the team.
Although Richarlison and Tottenham captain Son Heung-min scored for the team, they were not the best players on the pitch. The drive and energy that Royal and Vicario displayed were truly phenomenal.
One player that wasn’t exactly a flop but was disappointing has to be Cristian Romero. The Argentinian only played 46 minutes for the team and was later subbed off after an injury scare. His performance was not up to the standard that he is always held to.

Overall a very strong showing for the Lilywhites. They will be looking to carry this momentum forward as they face off against Brighton on Friday.
The Spurs have now recovered and have a very real chance of winning the Premier League title. They will be even more dangerous when their players start to return from injuries.
