Tottenham skipper Son Heung-min sheds light on Tottenham Hotspur’s ‘aim’ for the season

Tottenham Hotspur star Son Heung-min is not entirely satisfied with his team’s current position. After the Lilywhites dealt with Everton he sat down with BBC to shed light on their true aim.

He also gave us some insight into how he approaches football. Son believes that the game will sometimes take you up and other times it will be the opposite. But, what’s most important is for the team to stick together.

The 31-year-old forward has been phenomenal for the Spurs. He also expressed his happiness over the team’s progress. A statement that should bring a smile onto the faces of all the Tottenham men.

Let’s have a look at what the captain had to say about his team’s performance. (h/t BBC)

“This time we learned and showed good experience. I’m very pleased with every single player because they worked hard and deserved their spot.”

“Being in the top four is good but this is not our aim so we want to keep improving.”

Son also had some pretty high praise for Richarlison. He said that the Brazilian currently looks like a completely different player. Moreover, the skipper believes that the 26-year-old has the potential to be one of the greatest Premier League strikers.

Some very high praise comes straight from a Premier League veteran. Richarlison and Son were both featured on the score sheet against Everton. They scored back-to-back goals within the first 20 minutes to put their team up 2-0.

The South Korean national then went on to highlight Tottenham’s true aim. Although he is happy about them being fourth on the table, he says that the team’s real goal is to lift the Premier League title.
