Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United will soon go head-to-head for reborn Argentine marksman
According to Spanish publication Fichajes, Mauro Icardi is on the target list of both Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester United. The two Premier League giants will soon be butting heads for the reborn Argentine marksman.
The 30-year-old has been a treat to witness this season. His newfound form has managed to garner interest from multiple clubs. Over 27 appearances Icardi has recorded 17 goals and six assists this season (transfermarkt). A spectacular showing by the Argentinian.
Postecoglou has been eyeing the player as he looks to add more attacking power to his depleted roster. A series of injuries has left Ange with a crippled selection, things will soon become worse when Son Heung-min leaves for the Asian Cup.
Richarlison who has also been in fine form this season will soon be counted on a lot more once Son leaves the fray. Now is the time for Postecoglou to make some moves and provide the Brazilian with some help on the attacking front.
Icardi has a plethora of experience and will bring a veteran-like presence to the squad. Moreover, he can help take the development of Richarlison even further. The Brazilian’s newfound form could become a regular occurrence with the right company.
Tottenham have a real chance at lifting the Premier League trophy this season. Adding a player like Icardi to the squad will make them even scarier. They are currently sitting fifth on the Premier League table, six points behind table toppers Liverpool.
