Tottenham star will get a raise in salary along with a new deal says Fabrizio Romano.
Pape Matar Sarr is all set to sign a new deal with Tottenham, “it’s agreed, it’s done,” confirms Fabrizio Romano. The Senegalese national’s new deal will see him stay at the club till 2030. The Spurs have been extremely satisfied with his performance.
At just 21 years of age, Matar Sarr has quickly become a mainstay in Postecoglou’s squad. Throughout 19 appearances this season he has recorded two goals and two assists for the team (Transfermarkt). An impressive showing by the young defensive midfielder.
He does his job excellently and provides cover for the Tottenham defence. He was active during the team’s last game and even found himself on the score sheet as he put one past the Bournemouth goalkeeper.
It looks like Ange Postecoglou is in the middle of a rebuild at Tottenham. The Greek-Australian coach has made it a point to pursue young players. All of this may be part of some long-term goal that the manager has in mind for his team.
