Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has his say on Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana staying for the clash against them

According to Football. London, Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou shares his verdict on Manchester United goalkeeper staying until the Spurs match next week and then flying off to play for his national team in the AFCON.

Postecoglou has unfortunately lost three of his players for the upcoming matches. However, Manchester United has managed to retain custodian Andre Onana for a little longer, as they face Spurs on January 14. Interestingly, this is just 24 hours before Onana’s country, Cameroon, begin their Africa Cup of Nations campaign against Guinea. The Tottenham boss was questioned about his thoughts on the fairness of this situation.

Ange said in the press conference:

“Yeah, I don’t think it’s fair or unfair. Each club can deal with it the way we want. There’s other reasons for these kind of things, but no, certainly, what other clubs do doesn’t affect me or the way I view it.”

Postecoglou has reached the midpoint of his inaugural season as a Premier League manager but remains unfazed by the challenges. According to him, it’s just another job in his extensive managerial career.

Players such as James Maddison, Cristian Romero, and Micky van de Ven have recently found themselves on the sidelines, but despite this, Ange Postecoglou’s team continues to achieve positive results with a makeshift lineup. With the possibility of securing a spot in the Champions League and potentially making a strong push for the title, the new year promises new opportunities.

Spurs have been given a big problem because two of their midfield players are away at the AFCON and Son Heung-min can’t play due to the Asian Cup. This will surely affect how well they compete in the next few months. But, their ability to come back from recent problems shows that they still have a good chance of winning.

Tottenham Hotspur boss Ange Postecoglou's tactics shall again play a pivotal role in accelerating their side's win.

Next up is a clash with Burnley in the FA Cup, followed by a massive game against Manchester United in the Premier League. Spurs will have to manage without some of their players who are away on international duty, but United can take comfort in the fact that Onana won’t depart until after the match.
