Stuttgart chief gives a major blow on Tottenham Hotspur target Serhou Guirassy joining the North London club
According to GIVEMESPORT, Tottenham Hotspur target Serhou Guirassy and his transfer might take a huge blow after the Stuttgart chief says that he might not be ready to leave the club yet.
According to the German outlet Kicker, Stuttgart Sporting Director Fabian Wohlgemuth said:
“This is not an issue for us at the moment. This is one of the media. But the uncertainty of whether it’s going to happen in the summer or in the winter probably annoys you too. Imponderables are part of it, but nervousness is not. We focus on the things that are within our control so that he stays. Nobody can predict what will happen. We are convinced that he wants to stay. But we also know the mechanisms of the market.”
There are indications that Guirassy envisions a potential future at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium and would be willing to collaborate with Postecoglou, pending an agreement between the involved parties. The fee won’t be a problem for Spurs, considering that Guirassy has a release clause of around £15 million in his contract.
Considering the injuries Tottenham Hotspur has faced in the past few weeks, it’s quite impressive that they are still in contention for a top-four finish as we approach the second half of the season. However, this is indeed the situation, and considering the potential for securing a spot in the Champions League next season, the team from the capital will have a strong belief in their ability to qualify.
There is speculation that Tottenham may not sign a traditional striker due to Richarlison’s impressive performance, although a few fans still cling to the possibility of Harry Kane being replaced.
With Heung-Min Son currently participating in the Asian Cup, Tottenham Hotspur supporters will, unfortunately, have to endure the disappointment of witnessing Alejo Veliz’s emotional departure from the pitch during the defeat against Bournemouth.
