Tottenham Hotspur target Radu Dragusin is only £8m away from landing in North London
According to the Football. London (h/t Express), Tottenham Hotspur target Radu Dragusin is only £8m apart in valuation for us to land the player to the London side.
Reports in Italy indicate that the two parties are at an advanced stage of agreeing on a transfer fee amount priced around £23m. Meanwhile, Napoli is trying to persuade Genoa to let go of their promising young talent by offering them a player-plus-cash deal.
It seems that Dragusin is the likely choice to partner with Micky van de Ven in central defence, given the limited options available to Ange Postecoglou. Spurs are eager to finalise the deal promptly due to the escalating injury crisis at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium. However, it’s not just the defence that they are focused on strengthening.
However, Tottenham possess a valuable advantage in terms of the amount of playing time they can provide Dragusin. The injuries to Spurs’ backline this season have created an opportunity for the Juventus academy graduate to be immediately inserted into the starting XI.
With the Davies injury, it becomes crucial for Tottenham to finalise a deal for a new centre-back before the upcoming match at Old Trafford. Postecoglou’s squad is already stretched thin, so having a new addition in the defensive line would be a welcome boost. The Premier League’s allure is evident when considering the possibility of Dragusin’s debut match pitting Tottenham against Manchester United.
If Tottenham can successfully complete early January transfers, it would demonstrate the growing influence that Postecoglou has within the club, which he has already transformed for the better.
