Alasdair Gold states that Tottenham Hotspur are tirelessly working to complete a deal for Radu Dragusin
Tottenham Hotspur have been in hot pursuit of Radu Dragusin since the moment the transfer window opened up. The club rates him very highly and Alasdair Gold has stated that they are working against the clock to make the deal happen.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Genoa are expected to accept Tottenham’s offer of €25m fixed fee and €5m add-ons if they also make Djed Spence a part of the deal. The English defender will have to go on a season-long loan move to make the deal happen.
Tottenham have done very well this January having already added Timo Werner to the squad. Sergio Reguilon is also back with the team after his loan at Manchester United ended prematurely. Now, Dragusin’s announcement may look imminent but there is still some work to be done.
Alasdair Gold understands that the team has not been able to fully convince Djed Spence to become a part of the deal. Maybe the club needs to remind him that he can either go to Italy for six months or warm the bench for the rest of the season.
However, it is understandable that the player doesn’t wanna go on loan since he has just returned from one. Spence returned to Tottenham on the 4th of January after his spell at Leeds United came to an end.
However, Djed’s main priority at this moment should be playing time. The 23-year-old has a lot of room to develop and that will only happen if he gets to play. Going to Genoa will give him plenty of playing time which could be huge for his career.
