Fabrizio Romano states that Tottenham are still keeping tabs on 25-year-old defender
According to Fabrizio Romano, Tottenham Hotspur are still eyeing the situation of 25-year-old defender, Lloyd Kelly. The Lilywhites tried to get a deal done for the player back in the summer but ultimately failed to get his signature.
Kelly’s contract with Bournemouth is set to run out in the summer and he can already start to negotiate for a move in the summer. Juventus, AC Milan, and Stuttgart FC are all reportedly interested in the defender.
However, the player has not ruled out the possibility of staying at Bournemouth, and there has already been talk of a new deal. Tottenham has only been eyeing the situation and are not expected to make a move till the summer.
Even though Kelly would be an excellent addition we’re not sure there is a lot of space on the team for him. Tottenham have already been relentlessly pursuing Radu Dragusin of Genoa, and Fabrizio Romano believes a deal is close to being signed.
Apart from the possible arrival of the Romanian defender, Postecoglou already has centre-backs like Cristian Romero and Micky van de Ven. Moreover, Ben Davies has also been playing as a central defender for the team lately.
If they do end up signing Kelly it is not entirely sure that he will be getting a lot of minutes on the roster. A deal for the English defender is unlikely at this moment.
