Ange Postecoglou believes Tottenham Hotspur are title contenders
According to a tweet on X by BBC MOTD, Tottenham Hotspur manager Ange Postecoglou has claimed that Spurs are one of the contenders to win the Premier League this season.
Postecoglou’s team had a tough run in November and early December, only managing to secure one point from five matches. However, they have turned things around and have now won four out of their last five league games.
Ange said:
“By definition, we are aren’t we? So, yes we are”
Tottenham currently sit in fifth place in the table, trailing the league leaders Liverpool by six points. Their upcoming match on Sunday will see them face off against Manchester United. Given that Liverpool dont play this weekend, we could close the deficit to a mere three.
At Tottenlan Hotspur Stadium, anticipation hung thick in the air as Postecoglou took over and club record goal scorer Harry Kane departed to Bayern Munich before first match even kicked off. The team has made an outstanding recovery despite injuries, and have now reinforced the roster thanks to the recent signings of German forward Timo Werner (On loan) and Romanian center-back Radu Dragusin.
In recent seasons, fans have had to suffer a rather dull style of football where the emphasis was more on pragmatism than entertainment. Combining both traits under Postecoglou could prove to be very fruitful indeed.
With Harry Kane leaving the club mere days before the start of this season, Tottenham Hotspur supporters needed a glimmer of hope once more. Postecoglou has wasted no time in restoring hope.
