Manchester City star Erling Haaland is back in training and should be ready for the FA Cup 4th round vs Tottenham Hotspur
Tottenham Hotspur should be wary of Erling Haaland who is set for an imminent return, per The Manchester Evening News. The Norwegian was nursing a foot injury and has been out of action for 12 Man City games.
However, Pep Guardiola is glad to have his ace back in training, that too right on time. The former Barcelona manager gets another boost in the form of John Stones’ return. Stones picked up an ankle injury during City’s Premier League fixture against Everton last month.
Stones missed just four games and is back in training with Erling Haaland. Pep is also closely observing his other players who are sidelined due to injuries. This includes Manuel Akanji and Ederson.
City will face Tottenham Hotspur on 27th January in the fourth-round fixture of the FA Cup. The Sky Blues are the defending champs, whereas Tottenham last won the trophy in 1991. However, The Lilywhites (8) have won the trophy more than City (7).
How scared should Tottenham be?
In simple words, very! Tottenham Hotspur did register a strong start to the campaign but they stumbled midway. Even though the North Londoners are getting back on track, they are no match for the reigning treble winners.
Pep will have access to Erling Haaland and John Stones. Not to forget, he also has Kevin de Bruyne back to full fitness now. Everybody knows what the KDB-Haaland duo is capable of.
Another advantage that Manchester City boasts is they have no players out serving national duty in AFCON or the Asian Cup. On the other hand, Tottenham will have three of their starting XI players — Heung-min Son, Pape Matar Sarr and Yves Missouma out on national duties.

Ange Postecoglou will also be without James Maddison. Despite the rumours that the former Leicester City man will be back in action before the Manchester City clash, it is highly unlikely. Spurs will be facing arguably their toughest in a couple of days. What happens remains to be seen.
